The last many weeks have been a whirlwind for me – with all the activities surrounding release of my book. As I’ve had time the last few days to “pull my head out of the sand” from this flurry of duties and logistics, I find my focus snapping back to the true purpose of my work – reaching you.
I wonder, who are you, what brings you by, and what is your story? Are you merely passing through? Or are you pausing and deciding whether to make “The Choice” and explore the power of a new language for life to change your life for the better, as it has changed mine?
Before I continue, for all who have taken a moment to visit, I want to thank you from my heart. I so appreciate my long-time friends and my many new cyberfriends. To the many visitors who keep comfort in their mystery, you are appreciated all the same and as deeply. Thank you for investing your time to explore my journey, and to see if anything I have to offer is relevant to you.
Never before in human history has there been such a multiplicity of philosophies and spiritualities that are – thanks to the web – accessible to so many people. You indeed have a choice in whom to read, what ideas and experiences to consider inviting into your life, and in weighing the principles that offer the most happiness in your life.
Indeed, as we weigh our choices, it is often through the experiences of people who are profoundly tested that the validity of a belief reveals itself. In my own case, my tests included an early crisis in my career path and later, financial disaster. These proved pivotal to my making The Choice to be at peace with whatever. I had to also choose to not be paralyzed by fears, and to adopt a new language for reality.
The tests that people face are many, but disease and conflict touch almost everyone eventually. In the U.S., October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and also National Bullying Prevention Month. In the next few weeks, I’ll be focusing on the courageous and inspiring choices that people make in the context of these challenges, and the lessons to be learned from them.
I hope your choice will be to join me – and please do say hello and introduce yourself.
Many thanks,
Louis
